Обсуждается особая роль этих компонентов в формировании структурно-функциональной организации генома высших растений, а также в обеспечении повышенной по сравнению с геномом животных генетической изменчивости на уровне как отдельных последовательностей, так и генома.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The main classes of repetitive DNA sequences, including coding (rRNA genes) and non-coding sequences (tandem and dispersed repeats) are characterized.
