Автор обращает внимание на основные достижения данного труда. Вместе с тем высказывается ряд замечаний и пожеланий. Делается вывод о существенном значении новой книги для дальнейшего изучения истории биологических исследований.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper is dedicated to the fundamental book «Biology in St. Petersburg. 1703–2008». The reviewer underlines the main advantages of the book and makes some remarks and wishes.
